Hello
this is a little more detail on me...
As you
know from the home page, I turn 37 this June 1997.
I was
born June 12th, 1960, first born of four children, in San Jose
California.
Home of the silicon valley. Then we moved to the lovely
coastal
town Santa Cruz California about a 40 mile drive to the west
of San
Jose over the deadly highway 17.
This is
where I grew up Santa Cruz is a tourist, surfer and
university
town on the beautiful Montery Bay. The atmosphere is
progressive
and liberal. So I have learned to except different culture
and have
kept an open mind on most subjects. After Cabrillo College, I
went to
work in the electronics field for Intel and Sea Gate technology.
I started
taking care of my Grandfather when he came down with
lung
cancer in 1986, it became a full time job and he pasted away in
early
'87. It seemed as though there was nothing left for me in Santa
Cruz.
No hope
to buy a house because the extremely high property values and
cost of
living in the area. So I decided to move my grandmother and
myself to
Roseburg Oregon where several of our relatives had migrated
over the
last 20 years.
It took
awhile to adjust to Roseburg. I had the feeling of being in the
middle of
nowhere and I really missed the beach.
I did
feel like an Alien.
I
adjusted over time.
It was
hard to find work. Not much in the electronic fields.
Since I
had some medical knowledge I got a job at the local Hospital
and a
couple of part time Jobs. I met my lover Chester and after two
years I
bought a home and started my own business running a foster
home for
AIDS patients.
Unfortunately
my first patient was my mother. If felt as though 'why my
mother',
how can this be. Just sleeping with the wrong man one time
after her
separation is all it took. And here am I her gay son who had for
years
practiced unsafe sex with other gay men during the early 80's,
healthy
and HIV negative.
I took
care of several clients over a three year period until I sold my
home. I
broke up with my lover of 8 years around the same time my
business
was breaking up.
And a few
months later I met the new love of my life Ethan, We decided
we needed
a change of pace so we moved to northern California
In the
Arcata, Eureka area. We have met some really
cool
people here and have a lot of fun. We do have earthquakes from
time to
time.
I have
been with Ethan now for four years and we still feel like we
are still
on our honeymoon we get along so well.
I'm still
really into electronics especially compters and high tech
gadgets.
I built
the system I'm currently using.
I really
love the ocean I always will, walks on the beach during sunsets
are so
beautiful and the climate is so moderate.
I hope to
buy a home on the coast someday soon .
Well this
is a very condensed version of the last 37 years of my life.
Hope it
gives you some insight into the person..............
